Flower Power

Flowers are powerful little things. Sure, they can lift a mood in bouquet and vase form, but have you ever really dug into the benefits of different flowers when used in self-care ritual?

Today we’re going to share with you 3 of our favorite blooms to incorporate into ritual, and why we do it.

Not to be too obvious, but let’s start with rose.

ROSES may be red, but when used on the skin one of the benefits you can look forward to is decreased redness. The astringent properties that are naturally occurring in the perennial will help combat skin redness. acne, and inflammation.

GERANIUM is antibacterial and anti-inflammatory. When used on the skin it can help your skin stay clear of dirty and bacteria that might clog your pores and cause acne. Use a couple drops in your skin care routine and don’t be surprised if you start to develop a glowing, even skin tone.

The Mud Season Spring Seasonal Ritual on our menu features a delicate aroma of fresh geranium blossoms.

LAVENDER. What can’t it do? This flowering herb promotes deeper sleep, can improve skin complexion, and is commonly used to ease feelings of anxiety and stress. Massage a drop or two into the soles of your feet before bed, apply to your skin with a carrier oil like coconut or hemp, or close your eyes and allow your senses to breathe fully the scent that is slowly taking on a monumental roll in stress-relief.
